Some flowers never get to bloom

That scary thought kept haunting me as I was struggling with creative block.

Let me take you back to a few years ago, when I decided to quit my job as a collection manager for a high-end leather goods brand in order to follow a path I'd been dreaming of for a very long time : creating my own brand. I wanted to design home decor objects and collaborate with local artisans to handcraft them. I thought that becoming independant and finally having creative freedom would be liberating. It wasn't.

Turned out I had never felt more exposed and vulnerable. I can't tell you how much unsolicited advice I received during that time. Seeing how deeply it affected me made me realize how little trust I had in my own taste and abilities to succeed as a creative. You can't be successful if you don't allow yourself to be seen. And all I wanted was to disappear. 

The thing is that many of us find ourselves holding back our artistic dreams in the name of fear and self-doubt. It might leave us to wonder whatever happened to simple, playful creativity.

Starting over

I was able to pick myself up by diving into the work of many writers, artists and content creators who share their knowledge and their personal experiences in a very open way.  

I soon came to the realization that I actually didn't want to own a home decor brand. Instead, I wanted to be free to explore my creativity through unlimited mediums. I wanted to keep growing by learning new skills and crafts. I wanted to help creatives who felt stuck and overwhelmed overcome their own blocks. 

Figuring yourself out and designing your own life is like learning any other skill. It can be intimidating when you don't know where to start and how to find the right information. It's also a never-ending process that takes time and practice. Luckily, I love this process and I'm here to make it easier for you.

I decided to create this website in order to share my own work, to take you through my step-by-step learning process and to provide you with all the resources and tools that can help you move forward in your creative journey without losing your mind.

My ultimate dream is to live in a home filled with objects, furniture, clothes and accessories I've made myself. I think it would be very cute if everyone created their own unique world. 

I'm currently focused on improving my skills in film photograhy, ceramics, knitting and crochet. However, one craft often leads to another. Painting frescoes on my bedroom walls, making punch needle rugs, sewing my own clothes, writing poetry... The list is ever-growing.

My goal here is to openly share everything I use to teach myself new skills and crafts. This includes resources such as :

• gear and tools I use

• guides and tutos
• patterns
